What is "Relevance"?

"Relevance" refers to the strength of the relationship between one Person or Place and another Person, Place, or Thing.

Relevance is calculated by Myallo HotList and is expressed as a percentage, where 100% means total relevance and 0% means no relevance at all.

You can see Relevance on the Explain Screen, which explains the Current Hotness of a particular Person or Place.

For example, the Current Hotness of Person "Mary Jones" may partly be based on the proximity and hotness of another Person "John Smith". If we go to the People Screen and touch Mary's name, her Person Screen appears. If we touch her name again, her Explain Screen appears. On the Explain Screen, we would see a listing for John Smith that includes a Relevance percentage that indicates how relevant John's proximity and Current Hotness was to the calculation of Mary's Current Hotness.

Relevance of a Thing to a Person or Place depends on the Thing name or search term matching certain text stored with the Thing, as explained in the Thing Screen description. Scanned text may include parts of the profile of a person, or online reviews of a Place, for example. Therelevance calculation considers the number of matches and the relative position of each match (closer to beginning of the scanned text is more relevant).
